After F.Heider's founding of the research of attribution theory, a lot of psychologists were have been attracted to this theory. From the middle age of 60th to the former period of 70th, it has been making a figure and forming in shape gradually. During the middle and latter part of 70th and the former stage of 80th, people concentrate on how attribution affects the thought, the feeling and the activity, with the putting forward of Weiner's attribution theory of motivation and mood.Basing on the theory of the eldership, the research was designed to aim at exploring the characteristics and exercises of achievement attribution for 710 students of college by self-TEST questionnaire. The results were as follows: 1. There was no difference in the grade, and there was huge difference on the attribution of assignment difficulty, while the tend of ability attribution strengthens with the grade's rising. For the other four dimensionalities, the tendency differs from different grades. 2. There was huge difference on attribution dimensionalities for different grade on studying, working, interpersonal relation and living attitude.3.There was huge difference on attribution between the girls and boys. The girls got high grades on the attritions of goal, endeavor and capacity. And there were many differences on the four aspects—studying, working, interpersonal relation, and living attitude. 4. There were differences between arts and science on interpersonal relation attribution for the students. The students in science get high grade in the aspects of goal, endeavor, capacity and chance, but there is no art and science difference for the college students'success attribution on the aspects of study, work and attitude. 5. There is no city and country difference on studying for the college students, while there are many differences on the aspects of interpersonal relation, attitude, work and so on. The students from city gain higher grade than the students from country on the attribution of interpersonal relation and life attitude, while lower grade on the attribution of assignment difficulty and chance, and on the aspect of work, the endeavor attribution of the students from country is higher than that of the students from city. 6. From the tendency of the characteristic of success attribution, the college students lean to goal, endeavor, and capacity attribution.Basing on the research of the college students success'attribution, it can be reckon that he college students try to attribute in some scientific and reasonable ways, but it was obvious that some colony make some bad attribution in the process of attributions. Such as: take reason of the happening of the negative event as the inside and controllable reason. The reason to learn about the students'attribution is to train and offer psychological ensurance for their healthy developing to promote the individual health development and to offer educational theory basis.
