How To Design And Use CAI Courseware In English Listening And Speaking Teaching In Primary Schools

Nowadays, technology is developing by minute. The informationalization of social life and the globalization of economic activities makes English vital for China's opening up and her talk with other countries. Since the traditional teaching methods can no longer fit in the rapid shift, it is time for the change of English teaching in primary schools, especially the teaching of speaking and listening. It is in the primary school that pupils begin to learn ABC, which makes it important to think about ways of how to build a good foundation for their future study.To have a better communicative ability and to be a more competitive English learner, CAI should be used in the teaching of English in primary schools. With the help of multimedia, CAI plays an irreplaceable part in classroom teaching of primary schools, offering clear images, vivid pictures and original sounds. Pupils get involved in a happy and relaxing atmosphere which is helpful to their learning interests and results. By means of CAI, the knowledge capacity in 45 minutes gets enlarged, study interests of students get maintained, the spirit of innovation and scientific research gets inspired.This thesis aims to prove the possibility and necessity of using CAI in English teaching of primary schools from the theoretical and practical points of view and the great influences of CAI upon the English speaking and listening teaching in primary schools.
