On The Aesthetics Of Tang Poetry And The Education Of Chinese In Middle School

Tang poetry is the summit in the development of Chinese poetry. A large number of Tang poetry which has great influence on Chinese and Chinese culture has been selected as the teaching materials in the elementary schools , secondary schools and colleges since the ancient times. It has unique influence on Chinese people's self-cultivation of literature as well as spirit. For middle-school students, learning Tang poetry is important in that they not only need to do well in high school and college entrance examinations but develop the competence of literary appreciation. For middle-school Chinese teachers, to carry out the duty of imparting knowledge and educating people, they should renounce the outmoded teaching ideas and teaching methods, respect students with the effort of activating their motivation and initiative in learning, meanwhile, give first priority to cultivating students ' self-learning ability and developing students ' intelligence, foster students ' Chinese culture awareness and fondness through Chinese teaching. To achieve the goal of "quality education" , middle-school Chinese teachers should try to improve students ability of reading and appreciating Tang poetry which students are still weak in currently.The first section of this paper describes the spiritual and cultural nature of Tang poetry with the purpose of discussing how to infiltrate the education of patriotism, the philosophy of life and misery consciousness as well.The second part of this paper sets a student-centered, context-centered and activity-centered Chinese teaching idea through analyzing the relationship between Tang poetry and painting, Tang poetry and calligraphy, Tang poetry and music.
