Nowadays the main obstacle for senior high school students in writing is that they have nothing to say. They haven't their own opinions and thoughts to express. Certain surveys made by experts indicate that most middle school students have no interest in writing, and the materials they use in their writings are insipid, which can't reflect their real life. All this exposes a common problem existing among them, the rigid way of thinking and narrow view of life. When teaching, the author is annoyed with the students' narrowness and slowness in thinking, the wide use of meaningless and hypocritical words, and the lack of true feeling in their compositions. Therefore, the purpose of the essay is to open the students' minds, train the students to feel and behave sincerely and cultivate them to care about others so that they can find more writing materials in the life and improve their ability to write as well; at the same time, all the results mentioned above will be beneficial for the author to do some theoretical research and practical exploration in cultivating students' humane accomplishments.When we take a close look at the teaching method of writing in the country, we can see that training the students to observe the life and accumulate writing materials has been the main purpose in our teaching practice throughout these years. The idea of writing in the life is only for writing itself, yet there has not been systematic and thoroughly theoretical research and practical study on how to provide some moral education and perfect the development of the students' personality through the teaching. So far Nel Noddings' theory about caring ethics has been introduced and studied mainly as a new education theory. However the combination of the theory and teaching practice has not been studied yet. The essay aims at utilizing Noddings' caring ethics and caring theory as a theoretical support in the design and carrying on of teaching how to write. Besides, further study will be carried on so as to provide some reference for others teachers to improve the teaching level of how to write a composition.The essay focuses on the topic about the utilizing of caring theory in the teaching method of how to write in senior high schools, and the author has completed the tasks as follows:First, the author referred to and studied the survey about senior high school students' current situation of writing and concerning documents. Analysis about the causes of the difficulty in writing and how to change present state has been made.Second, the author studied Nel Noddings' caring theory, and searched for the inter combination of caring theory and Chinese traditional education disciplines. By the means of thorough reading foreign education theory and the study of domestic teaching method of writing, the author had a deep thought about the theory, and had a try to introduce caring theory into the writing teaching in our country.Third, the author put forward the importance of caring-taking in writing teaching and tried to study the composition of the design of writing teaching, and the effective ways of directing in writing.Last, the author explored the ways of in the practice of caring theory.
