The Professional Commitment (PC) of the college students is the relative strength of identification with and involvement in their major studies. The strength must be affected recently as a result of the successive expansion in high education and the heavy pressure in employment, which inevitably has a strong impact on their lives and studies. Thus it's quite necessary to gain insights into their degrees of PC. In the study based on a great many literature reviews, questionnaire surveys and interviews with related experts, the Professional Commitment Questionnaire for Students of PE (PCQSPE) was made and with it a study about PC of PE students was conducted. The results indicated: (1) the questionnaire has relatively good reliability and validity, which is applicable to college students of PE in Chinese cultural background; (2) The psychological structure of PC among Chinese college students of PE consists of three dimensions: affective commitment, economic commitment, and normative commitment; (3) Generally the overall level of PC of PE students stays middling or a bit higher with good differences on various dimensions. A relatively greater PC variation exists in normative commitment, lower in economic commitment; there is some difference with sex in normative commitment while the other two aren't, and the PC of female students is higher than that of male ones; The level of PC in different grades contrasted with little in where they come from; there are also differences in three commitments among colleges, but none in other two, and the PC for students from institute of PE is higher than others;...
