Study On The Changes Of The Values Of Marriage And Family And The Causations In The Social Transformation In China

Our country is changing from centrally planned economy to market economy, from agricultural society to industrial society, from rural society to city and town society, from close society to open society, from ethics society to gesellschaft since China embarked on the path of reform and openning-up in 1978. This social transformation have made the values of the people of China to undergo tremendous changes. This change in people's marriage and family values is particularly prominent. So, We take the method of the historical document analysis, collect and analysis the huge data about the changes of the marriage and family's values, come to the trends of the marriage and family's values as follow: the values of premarital sex, the attitude of marital transgressions, the values of the divorce embodies diverse and tolerance, the standards in choosing the spouse, pre-marital property notarization embodies pragmatism, relations between husband and wife, father and son become more equal, the independence in choosing the spouse, the autonomy in the divorce reflects individualism, and try to analysis the cause of the change of the marriage and family's values from the function change of the marriage and family, the valuse of the market economy, population movement, social mobility, the western feminist movement, the mass media, and, makes a forecast that the future change of the values of the marriage and the family on the base that analysis and forecast the the function of the future marriage and family, the values of the market economy and the movement of population, mobile status of society.
