In recent years, the number of university graduates keeps increasing gradually in China. In the employment market, competition among graduates has become more and more intense, and the employment market gradually develops into "buyer market". Practical capability has become one of the most important focus in employee's opinions. The factor that "new graduates have not enough capability to work well" has also caused graduates' hard employment. Under the background of knowledge economics, the main task of higher education cannot be confined to the simply knowledge imparting, and practical capability developing has become the main trend of the worldwide education development. In addition, university students and their family members have invested much in education especially high education, so it is clear that high expectations and demands have been placed on them, and they will pay much more attention to graduates' successful employment. On the other side, what universities provide currently cannot match the requirement of society and university students, including attitude, training methods and so on. The conflict between support and need is the important basis in reality of this paper. How to change the current situation of university students' practical capability development as well as the attitude, how to make full use of teaching resources to improve university students' practical capability are the key contents in the paper.The basic thought of this paper is as follows: on the basis of "practical knowledge", make an acute theory analysis of the connotation and new characterize in present time, and to find out the key problems and reforming measures based on the survey of graduates' demand of practical capability developing and the current situation in universities.Specifically, The opening chapter takes on the findings of the survey to "University students' requirement of practical capability developing and the current developing situation in universities". The main content includes: the requirements to practical capability of university students, colleges and enterprise; the present attitude and developing situation of colleges.The second chapter is the key theory part. Here I began with the relationship between knowledge and capability, then analyzed the connotation and classification of knowledge, generalize the characterize of "practical knowledge", defined the word "practical capability", and finally found out the key characterize of university students' practical capability.The third chapter mainly analyze the factors which have affected university students' practical capability development comprehensively, and then find out the main problems and difficulty existed in the developing process, which include three parts: The internal influence factors such as attitude, the shortage of professional teaching resources utilizing and the practical trait of curriculum; The outer social condition such as the policy support of government, the enthusiasm of employee taking part in the students developing, university students' state of mind and planning of capability developing.In the end, I attempt to explore reasonable reforming direction, and present some half-baked propositions. Those propositions include: to set up the "capability education"idea in universities, to pay much attention to university students' capability developing; to take much more care of university students' requirements and to encourage their motivation to train practical capability; to make full use of the professional teaching resources; to establish university-employment integration practical education system and to give strong policy support to university students' practical capability developing.
