Research On Relationship Between Ecnomic Develoment And Protection Of Women's Rights

Because of women's physiological speciality and their social role-requirement, women need an external protection mechanism to deal with the predicaments and challenges from the social transform and globalization. The protection law of women's rights is mainly a kind of policy design based on the 'difference'. However, women's rights haven't been expanded in development of the market economy.Combining policies and guidelines about the protection of women's rights, this paper examines the implementation and execution of women's labor security, childbearing security, rural women's land rights protection and women's other wearfare in Zhejiang Province and comes to a conclusion that economic prosperity doesn't improve women's 'vulnerable' position.Through the study of this case using 'gender perspective' and the 'politics of difference' theory, this paper suggests that a balanced gender development is the basis to uphold the social justice and build socialist harmonious society. 'Difference' is a more important concept than 'equality' and the protection of women's rights shows our respect to it. Developing justly must admit reasonable difference, conform to most people's benefits, and promote their (all the social members in principle) living standards, which asks for more powful policy support from the state and government to guarantee women's developmental rights and realize their social value.
