With the progress of the times and the development of technology,especially the arrival of the IT Revolution signed by the wide application of Internet, Human society has entered the modern information society. In this age of the Internet, college students are the forefront of a social group which are most sensitive to information technology and the fastest of accepttion and absorbability. According to the China Internet Information Center (CNNIC) statistics, in January 2007, internet users in China reached 137 million, of which people aged 18 to 30 accounted for 54.9%, and people with BA degree and above accounted for51.8%. In college, students are becoming a vital force in the information consumption network.This thesis selects the most vulnerable groups of college students who are the most sensitive to information and affected the most easily by information consumption, as the scope of this study. It uses the college students who are the typical and special example of the society on this topic as the object of study so as to understand the information consumption of the whole society better. The Information consumption of college students is different to other social groups, which could spur economic growth, improve the quality of information products and services, adjust information industrial structure, and accelerate the development of information industry which is representative the latest information technology;At one time college students put information consumption that could meet the information needs,improve information search capability and Information Literacy, enhance knowledge, benefit consumers of information ultimately. To lay store by colleges students'level and ability which could constitute pertinence principles and policies, support and encourage the development of health information consumption patterns, beat and restrict information improper spending contemporary, purify network information space, then improve the level of information consumption.With diversified development trends of information consumption in college, there are still many problems that need attention. The one aspect is that student information consumption capacity is not sufficient enough to obtain the information required, there is a contradictions between the growing information needs and the poor ability in information searching; secondly, all kinds of informations good or bad are mixed up, many students lack the correct information consumption values which has existed the contradictions between mixed informations and Lower filtration on information; lastly, students would be able to convert information into the knowledge and absorb fully, which has existed the contradictions between informations absorption and lower information capabilities.In the face of many contradictions in information consumption, the source of the problem should be identified before the right solution can be given. The priority is to evaluate the level of college students'information consumption, through the scientific evaluation, the real situation of the current information consumption's level in college can be obtained. However, whether the nature of consumer information or information services, the information consumption has its own characteristics. The evaluation of information consumption's level in college could not just simply follow the existing evaluation system of other organizations, it must fully understand the profound meaning of information consumption, the factors affecting information consumption, only then can we evaluate the level of consumer information objectively.Therefore, in this paper, a document on the basis of in-depth study on their own, combined with a questionnaire survey, the expert interviews and other methods, then establish evaluation system,through factor analysis for reliability and validity testing to ensure reliability of the questionnaire. Using the Analytic Hierarchy and expert advice on the various indicators to determine the weights adopt Fuzzy Comprehensive Assessment to level Evaluation. A detailed as follows:From the first chapter to the third chapter, through literature analyzing, examined the theory and practice of the domestic and foreign information consumption level evaluation. Combined the present development of domestic college's information consumption, elaborated the concept, characteristic and study elements of the college's information consumption. From the main body, guest and environmental points of view to expound the impact of information consumption, based on this construct evaluating indicator, which was the theoretical supporting for the evaluation of college students'information consumption level.From chapter four to chapter five is the focus of this thesis, according to the factors to establish evaluating indicators, base on the evaluation indicators to conduct a, get a fully understand of the current situation of the college students'information consumption, found out deficiencies of the information services. The questionnaire survey also play an important role of decision in specific intercalate for indicators.In addition, through the returned questionnaires, mining datas to provide detailed data for quantitative study. With experts interviewed and used the experts'views and experiences to cover the existing deficiencies of the questionnaire survey (such as the problem was relatively simple, opening questions'answered rather vague etc ), to amend, supplement and improve the evaluating indicator system of the college's information consumption level, which reflected the guidance and authority of the indicator system.Furthermore, the thesis applied the statistical analysis and evaluation methods. It has used factor analysis to test the reliability of the questionnaire, and did factors'comprehensive evaluation; using AHP to identify the evaluation weights, did empirical study by using evaluation method of the fuzzy math. Do comprehensive evaluation objectively and truely on college students'information consumption level.The chapter sixth according as the ahead charter of evaluating the college students'information consumption level, analyzed current situation and inadequate of the college information consumption. Then provide recommendations for encouraging healthy information consumption and purifying the campuses'information space.This thesis contacted theoretics with practice, combined determine the nature with fix quantify, builded the evaluating indicators system of college students'information consumption level ,and did demonstration testing analysis of information consumption level on the basis of empirical research; deeply analyzed the impact factors of college students'information consumption. The system uses software such as SPSS, yaahp, DPS systemicly, and with the factor analysis method, the Delphi method, the analytic hierarchy process method, the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method and the others, to evaluate and study on the information consumption level amply and deeply.
