A Study On The Principal Professionalization And The Principal Training

As the sayings said that"As is the principal ,so is the school","An excellent principal is equal to a splendid school"which means as the educator, leader and manager in the school ,the principal plays a major role in raising the quality of education and affecting school's development. At the present, the professionalization of education administrative staff has become both the certain claim of our socialist modernization and the inexorable trend of the development of the education administration. Principal being clearly defined as a profession, the principal professionalization has become the consensus on developing basic education and raising the quality of education home and abroad. Most principals come from teachers in China, who haven't been professionally trained, therefore training plays an important part in principal professionalization. In a sense, scientific and systemic training is the shortcut to promote the principal professionalization. So it is significant to explore how toimprove the training to raise the principal professionalization from its connotation.Since the founding of the People's Republic, especially since the 1980s,our government has been playing great attention to principal training and achieved a great deal such as establishing the training system and complete training network and promoting the overall competence of the principals. At the same time, because of the imperfections of the management system and cognitive deviation of the principals, there exists the key problem in the principal professionalization. The thesis tries to explore the countermeasures to improve the principal training to promote the principal professionalization.
