The career development channel of primary and secondary school principals is the system foundation that affects the professional development and career promotion of primary and secondary school principals,and is also the way to improve the leadership of primary and secondary school principals.In recent years,with the continuous advancement in the research and practice of principal professional,school leadership and principal leadership,the theoretical significance and practical value of principal professional development have become increasingly prominent.The Wallace Foundation's Principal pipelines for Principal Professional Development is a system of school district principals that ensures that a large number of school leaders are properly trained,hired,evaluated and supported.This study using literature analysis,comparative analysis and case study methods,combining with Edmund King's comparative analysis framework,primary and secondary school principals " Principal pipelines " from the United States launched the background,system design,implementation and improvement,management characteristics,problems and reflection,and project for our reference and enlightenment of several major aspects carried on the thorough research.On the whole,the principal pipelines of American principals has successfully shaped a large number of excellent principals who match the needs of regional school leadership positions,filled the vacancy of excellent principals in various regions of the United States,effectively improved students' performance,and complied with the policy goal of the "Every Student Succeeds Act" in the United States.Firstly,the "principal pipelines" embodies the integration and realizes the effective connection between pre-service training and post-service development,and meanwhile,to promote the synergism and realizes the sustainable development of the professional construction of the principal team;Secondly,to promote the standardization,the implementation of the principal qualification system,the implementation of the principal leadership professional standards and the establishment of the authoritative principal evaluation index system;Thirdly,to pursue professional,and cooperate with universities and third party educational institutions to provide principal training programs to do a good job of principal professional training;Fourthly,to attach importance to specialization and construct a specialized organization system for the training and professional development of primary and secondary school principals.The practice of the "principal pipelines" project for primary and secondary school principals in the United States provides an important reference and inspiration for promoting the professionalization of principals and strengthening the construction of principals' team in China.(1)It is necessary to determine the standards guidance,improve and implement the leadership standards of primary and secondary school principals,highlight the core professional qualities of principals,and promote education of educators;(2)it is necessary to promote project education,strengthen the training of principals,and attach importance to the teaching leadership and transformation leadership of principals.(3)we should pay attention to the selection of the excellent and placement of the strongest,standardize the selection procedure of principal candidates;(4)the evaluation should be standardized so that the evaluation results can be turned to support the professional development of principals.
