Mathematics Teaching, with the deepening of China's basic education reform, how to guide students to participate in the teaching process, especially how to help students learn how to learn, has become one of the main points that courses reform concerns as well as the main goal of "quality education". Heuristic education, the essence of traditional education, is the guiding ideology of all outstanding teaching methods, and both the best way and effective manner to bring quality education into effect. Modern heuristic teaching greatly improved the traditional teaching methods, and guide students participate actively in the interaction between teacher and student, so as to train students' autonomy, initiative and creativity in studying. Thus, the theory and practice of modern heuristic in the junior middle school mathematics classroom teaching is a question that is worth exploring.In explaining the origin of this teaching method, and based on the significance of the rational use of heuristic teaching, this article first defines modern teaching method, expounds its characteristics and theoretical basis, discusses the value of heuristic teaching model and its design ideas in mathematics teaching. Finally, it demonstrates the feasibility and effectiveness of the heuristic teaching through junior middle school math classroom experimental study.
