The behaviors of men and women are restricted and shaped by the social tradition and the culture, which makes the behaviors fit for the sex role, distinguished from the gender. People will judge it negatively and repulse it in the case that the behaviors don not fit for sex role expected by society. The traditional culture believes that masculine should be rational, emotion steady and unexposed, while femininity should be sentimental and ready to express themselves. Intimacy between the male (such as holding hands, hug, etc.) is judged as unconformity and impropriety for typical male sex role, and it is repulsive and unacceptable. However, the situation is different from the female. Intimacy between the female is acceptable and approvable. The present research explores the gender effect of students' attitude for same-sex intimacy by the experiment, which including the effect of the subjects' gender, the target characters' gender and the types of intimacy behaviors. Study 1 explores the effect of gender through a set of paper-pen test that ask subjects to judge the characters' intimacy behaviors in the pictures. Study 2 explored the effect of subject gender and the type of behaviors on the subjects' attitude in the implicit way.Combining with the two experiment results, the main findings of the research are as follows:(1) In the paper-pen test, target characters' gender and the type of intimacy behaviors both have a significant mai 'n effect and interact effect, but the effect of subjects' gender is not significant.(2) There is a significant difference for the acceptability/relation judgment of the male and the females' intimacy behavior except hug shoulder. (3) The order (from high to low) of the students' acceptability/relation judgment for male intimacy behaviors is: hug shoulder, holding hands, hug, kiss on the cheeks, kiss on the lips; The order for female intimacy behaviors is: holding hands, hug shoulder, hug, kiss on the cheeks, kiss on the lips.(4) In the IAT, subjects' gender and type of behaviors both yield to a significant main effect and interact effect.(5) There is a significant difference of the female subjects' attitude towards the male and female's intimacy behaviors, especially on the level of holding hands and hug shoulders.(6) The order (from greater to less) of the female students' attitude difference for intimacy behaviors of the male and the female is: holding hands, hug shoulder, hug, but of the male students, the order is: holding hands, hug shoulder, hug.
