Exploration About The Development Of The Chinese Professional University Counselors

Counselor system is one of the characteristics of Chinese socialist universities.Since the 1950s of the last century, Chinese universities have gradually established counselor system.After 50 years'exploration and probing, manifold facts proved that university counselor work is the most important task of education.The construction of counselor team has become important organizational guarantee and long term effective mechanism for undergraduate ideological and political education as well as the practice of moral education and safeguarding university stability.Under the background of higher education entering the "popularization" development, it is of great significance and theoretical practice to emphasize strengthen the theoretical research and practical exploration of professional counselors, develop professional counselor team which suited to the characteristics of our universities and construct a sustainable professional counselor team for the full implementation of the education policy, The improve of the overall quality and efficiency, The important of our Counselors'traditional "experience-based development" and "contingency-based" and "non-professional" developmental state, the ideological political and moral education of university students, and the day-to-day management tasks.This thesis mainly used documents and historical study to do the research.Through referring to the relevant documents and materials, using and absorbing the advantages and experience of western professional student affairs development, and comparing all the good practices of the construction of university counselors all over our country, and on the basis of extensively studying, using, digesting and absorbing others research results, this thesis studies the historical process of Chinese counselor system, team development, and sums up the characteristics of the development of Chinese counselors.With the current situations of the construction of Chinese university counselors as the starting point , on the realistic basis of the construction of Chinese provinces and university counselors and with the guidance of comprehensive, harmonious and scientific concepts of sustainable development, this thesis analyzes the deficiencies that exist in the construction of counselors, explores the causes of the problems of "professional development of counselor team", and puts forward the initial theoretical ideas and solutions to solve the problems in the construction of counselor team such as "destabilizing force", "role ambiguity" and "non-professional development" and so on.The whole thesis is divided into six parts.First,"determination of counselor professional development and related concepts";Second,"the historical process of the development of Chinese university counselors"; Third , "Chinese current situations and problems of the university counselors";Fourth,"the available experience of professional development of student affairs in western countries";Fifth,"the content and role of Chinese counselor professional development";Sixth,"the measures and advice to the development of Chinese counselor specialization".Aiming at the problems in the current university counselor team construction, the fifth and sixth parts of the paper put forward the tentative idea and measures for Chinese counselor specialization and the chief achievement of this research.
