Present Condition And Future Strategy Analysis Of Foreign Players Importing Of Top-division Football Clubs In China (1998-2006)

Through the sorting of the data analysis, this paper researched the cases or foreign players importing of Chinese top-division football clubs-division 1 group A(1998-2003) and super league(2004-2006) from 1998-2006, including the places they came from, their football style and the positions they plays. By analyzing them, we discover that among the 3 lines (forwards, mid-fields, backs, no goalkeepers cause it was forbidden by CFA in 1998), the clubs imported forwards most, which shows that Chinese football clubs value offensive football, and they are hungry for scores and triumph. The secondary position is mid-field, which is still for offence. Of course there are defensive mid-fields, but only a few. We also researched the football level of the leagues where the players used to play in order to show their football level. The division of league he played in and whether he is cap or not both can show his football level as well as the level of our clubs and the purpose of this importing. Besides this paper also studied the present condition of foreign players importing of top5 leagues of Europe, (mainly in season 2005-2006 ) and compared the data with Chinese clubs, so that we can learn their attitudes and policies by studying their purposes and standard of foreign player importing. Meanwhile, this paper also studied agents, the independent chain in foreign importing system, including the rising , sorts, developing, applications and problems faced. Through the typical examples, we go on explain their present condition, and calculate the regulation of the developing of foreign agents. As a developing country of football, we should learn from the others and even imitate them if necessary. Through this study, we hope to find the gap between the agents of China and foreign countries and the best way we should choose. This paper uses a long-term view to study the present condition of foreign player importing of Chinese football clubs, and the conclusions are as followed: there are no distinct characteristics of the resources of foreign players; the players are mostly old players and mainly offensive style; the management of agents is of mess and the club does not have the proper way to import foreign players. Towards these shortages, this paper gives the following advises: clubs should choose foreign players according to their own style; clubs should combine old players with young players; the FA should make loosen policies to attract more high level player in order to improve the level of the league; the FA should refine the management of agents while the clubs rise agents and scout themselves to decrease the money and energy spent and find better players.
