The chemical experimental teaching is quite important to the new fundermental education reformation which aims at improving scientific literacy and developmenting scientific inquiry of the students. The author tries to make a research on the reality of the rural experimental teaching. The author does this in order to reply why the teaching conditions are relatively worse which make the experimental teaching process so hard. The author also wants to find out not only if the teachers and students like doing the experiments and the attitude of the leaders of the school but also if the curricula reformation can be put forward successfully.The 2nd middle school in Panshi is the research object in this thesis. Thorough investigation is made on the experimental teaching conditions of the school through interviewing, investigation, analyzing the datum. The author draws conclusions through investigation as follows:Firstly, the teaching conditions in rural high school are worse. The development of the school mostly depends on the investment of the upper department.Secondly, the leaders of the school attached little importance to the experimental teaching. First, the investment is not enough to the experimental teaching resource. Second, the school only puts forward the request to the experimental teaching thus systemic inspection and appraisalment are needed. Third, the study and training of the teachers'operation should be perfected and strengthened.Thirdly, the teachers haven't enough information on the experimental teaching so the diathesis of the teachers should be advanced urgently. First, the teachers should change the teaching conception so that they can adapt the new curricula reformation. Second, more teaching research activities should be held actively to strengthens the inter communications of the teachers. Third, the multimedia should be used more in the actual teaching process.Fourthly, although most students have the aspiration of doing experiments the chances of operating by themselves are still not enough.In a word, the function of the chemical experimental teaching in rural high school can not be realized. It is believed that with the thoroughness and perfection of the new curriculum reformation the experimental teaching in rural high school will be better and better.
