The Research Of The Problem About Providing For Rural Widowed Elders In Individual Case

Since the new century, with the deepening of our nation’s reform and opening up, there is a gradual increase of citizen’s income and life standard. At the same time, the constantly improvement of our country’s social security system and the update level of medical services, which guarantee the elder’s life expectancy. According to the latest prediction of the State Population and Family Planning Commission, by2050our country will enter the peak of the aging population, and providing for the aged will be a major issue around all society.As a populous nation in the world, there are two challenges facing us, huge population base and fast growing speed. Strengthening the research of the old people’s living situation especially those rural widowed, is an important subject for promoting our economic construction of new period comprehensively, moreover which is an effective way to solve many problems caused by aging society.This paper starts from the study of the rural elderly home and abroad, draws a conclusion about the job of elder society work from four aspects of body health, psychological problem and so on. It also makes a scientific division of the process and points out five rules including respecting and accepting the elder from the value and building trust-worth relationship. On the base of these, this paper gives a brief introduction of two common ways, which are recall of past time and memory of old accountancy, tells theoretical and realistic significance to do research about the rural widowed olds’living situation. It has a basic understanding of them by means of interview, questionnaire survey and online consultation. Meanwhile, there have detailed analysis and illustration about the rural widowed elder’s material support, spirit life situation and medical guarantee situation, which is focused on the elder living in Qian’an County, Jilin province, introducing three research cases, to which this paper makes specific analysis separately, applies comparative analysis approach, case analysis method and something else synthetically to indicate three aspects of the problem of providing for the rural aged at present, which are shortage of material support, behind time of spiritual comfort and imperfection of system security.Aimed at the problem involved, this paper, combining our country’s economic development at this stage with socialist modernization reality, from the view of the subject which support the rural widowed elder’s life and the details of it, makes discussion and countermeasure systematically. And it also raises some good suggestions, such as increasing financial income, enhancing medical health support and strengthening cultural environment construction, from three levels of economy, body and spirit, which have instructive significance to some extend for the research of our nation’s present social problems like providing for the aged.
