Problem representation is the focus conception of problem solving.It has been studied by many researchers with the development of cognitive science.The core to settle a problem is problem representation which is a way to express the though of the one settling the problem,a key to analyze his problem,a process transforming the problem from task domain to problem spaces,a real process from all information he has received to final solution,expressing by means of an outlet more easily accepted.So research in the field of subjects is benefit to the capacity of problem solving,focus of the research is on the problem of subjects that students study in school.On the basis of document analysis,representation of the problems outlined, it is pointed out that the representation of the significance of the problem;It not only provides an overview of the problem representation in the general field of study subjects and Mathematic,salso summarized the mathematical problem of the representation of the situation at home and abroad, summed up the problem of representation of mathematics to solve the problems.Analysis the former research,Mathematics problems in the characterization of the study focused primarily on the application of that characterization,Compared to other problems are fewer.In this paper,from there on the physics,chemistry problem on the basis of characterization,Characterization of a common mathematical problem of the study.Through this first test and analysis of variance methods to prove the math students of different characterization of a significant mathematical problem the differences;Later,according to the same question,different students characterized this phenomenon,Characterization of each case were collected from students for interviews further understanding of the problems faced by students in mathematics have the same characterization of the reasons for differences.Finally,in the light of empirical research results,the difference between the students characterized the cause of the problem.Put their teaching to enhance students seeking an effective means of mathematical characterization of the problem.
