Northeast, especially Jilin and Heilongjiang are the important bases where the winter sport develops, are the cradles of cultivating excellent short track speed skating athletes. The developing status of short track speed skating in Jilin and Heilongjiang would influence the whole level of short track speed skating in our country directly. As relative departments attain importance to it these years, skiing and skating have made abundant effective work on deepening the reform of training system and strengthening the science and research, which much enhanced the level of the short track speed skating in our country relatively and obtained the good achievement which make people pride in international matches. But the shortage of the people with ability in support is caught attention by people gradually; especially the grass roots meet big trouble in transferring the teen-agers with ability to upper sport schools and sport-labor teams.Strengthening the cultivation of the reserve force of short track speed skating is the key of assuring the continuing development of the event. The article bases on the investigation and analysis of the actuality of the reserve force of short track speed skating in Jilin province, provides the theoretic gist of the continuing development of cultivation of the reserve force of short track speed skating, in order to form the fine circle of the cultivation of the reserve force of short track speed skating in Jilin province, meanwhile, provides the realistic gist and reference for the cultivation and management of the reserve force of short track speed skating in our country and Jilin province.This article takes coaches and students of some short track speed skating schools and amateur sport schools as the research objects, uses the literature, interviewing with the experts, questionnaires, and statistics as the research methods, investigates the cultivating actuality and interrelate problems of the reserve force of short track speed skating in Jilin province, analyses and researches the valid information from the investigation, concludes mainly as follows:1. The repertory of the reserve force of short track speed skating distributes in disproportion. The repertory of the reserve force mainly centralizes in Changchun and Jilin. Occupying resources and available resources in local schools is less relatively.2. The age of coaches mainly centralizes from 25 to 45 years old, the frame of age is reasonable relatively, meanwhile, they own some certain teaching fixed number of year, teaching experience is abundance relatively; the ability of practice is strong relatively. According to their endeavor, they all obtain college degree or above and own some culture traits. But the level of their theoretic study and science research is low relatively, they are all eager to attend the post training and continuing education, developing with the times, and to learn advanced training methods.3. The athletes in training are sure to be trained in system perennially; the requirement of training level can be attained basically. However, the athletes attend competitions less annually, which can not check the training effect and provide the feedback information to athletes and coaches in time.4. Most area is short of training field and equipment, which even influences the training in some area. Relative departments should pay attention to it. 5. The systems of cultivation of the reserve force of short track speed skating still need to be consummated. We should carry out the cultivating method as"combination of sport and education", decrease the contradiction of study and training of athletes, consummate the cultivating system of the reserve force in Jilin farther, assure the continuing development of the reserve force.
