Recently, Being accelerated by the Western Great Development, higher vocational education in the west area is able to gain prompt developing. The Western Great Development is not only to bring more development opportunities but also more challenges to higher vocational colleges. It requires that higher vocational colleges want the amount dilation but demand a qualitative leap. It also demands the new education idea, pattern and supervisor mode to come up. Therefore, in order to adapt to the West Great Development need for modern occupation talented person, higher vocational colleges must to explore some new ways for students'ideological and political education.This paper use relevance theoretical knowledge to study, such as modern fundamental philosophy of Marxism, ideological and political education principle, psychology, sociology, and so on. On the basic of admitting and drawing some beneficial experience of ideological and political education by both home and abroad, then put the general modern sciences and studying achievement into together, adopting the method of integration of document research and comparison research to analyses the problem of higher vocational college students'ideological and political education. First, the bad ideology influence lead to the feebleness of the ideological and political education. Secondly, the ambiguities target orientation of the moral education lead to the blindness of the ideological and political education. Thirdly, the unilateralism pursuing of vocation lead to the imperfect humanities. Fourth, the varieties of the student lead to the pertinence absence of the ideological and political education.According to these above, the author set forth six factors (society, economy, policy, school, family, student), which is influenced and restricted the ideological and political education of higher vocational college students in the west area. Then the author puts forward several countermeasures for ideological and political education of higher vocational college students according to these problems and factors. First, persisting on science development opinion, cultivating the good political making. Secondly, the new target orientation: the nurturance of the especial making and the education measure correspond. Thirdly, improving the humanities on the base of practicability. Four, exerting the main ditch action of the ideological and political lessons. Fifth, paying attention to the arrangement to improve the pertinence and highlight the national character.At last, the innovation of the ideological and political education of higher vocational college students in the west area can be concluded as follows: First, insist on "taking human as a basic factor" in order to highlight the ideological and political education service. Secondly, structure a new education mechanism in order to realize the entire personnel and continuities of ideological and political education. Thirdly, reinforce the campus cultural advancement in order to strengthen the ideological and political education permeability. Fourth, improve supervision, appraise, encourage and reward mechanism in order to mobilize the ideological and political education enthusiasm. Fifth, respect the student main body diversification in order to stress on the ideological and political education concordance.
