Chinese modern science education sprout in the coastal missionary school before the Opium War (1840-1842).Then, as the nation is open and the development of modern school especially modern middle school, the science education in missionary school has been developing constantly. As Guangdong is "close to the South China Sea", from ancient times to modern times, it get in touch with the whole world more promptly, so it is naturally "take the first of the nation". And the science and science education landing on the coastal area is reasonable as the thing from abroad. This text has investigated some historical facts in science and introduction of science education of Guangdong at first promptly, then analyzed the relationship between science education of middle school of Guangdong and the schooling system emphatically. And the schooling system most influential a most far-reaching one no more than 1922 new schooling system, the same as to science education of Guangdong middle schools during 1930s.Look from aspect of the schooling system, China modern science education demonstrate seek, progressive ascendant trend constantly. Choose the science education of middle school of Guangdong at this moment as the main investigation target, lie in Guangdong 1930s politics, economy, some special character and middle school science education of education in whole science subject status of the education system on one hand, lie in Guangdong 1930s science education of middle school subordinated to the whole modern science education of China too on the other hand, the two are the same in most aspects. Investigate the former can for extrapolate the latter, although inaccurate to there is sure reference value. 1930s Guangdong middle school wsa growing fast, especially after Guangdong has ruled by Chen JiTang in 1929, there was a tremendous development even more in the public middle school, though the missionary middle school to shrink at some extent at this time, but the foundation was still there, for their quality were considerable. In addition, the private middle school developed to some extent too. This text tries from the course offered of the middle school, several angles such as the external social environment of the instrument and equipment of natural science and science education describe the science education of the middle school of Guangdong during 1930s. These factors belong to the objective factor of science education. Different school, different situations. But in general, the objective condition of science education of middle school of Guangdong was not so well in 1930s. Among them, the influence of the instrument and equipment, books, teaching materials are especially important. This text describe mainly at Provincial No.4 middle school, Private Zhiyong middle school and Private Jiaoshi middle scholl one by one, in the hope of showing different situations of the different kinds of schools.While analyzing the science education of the middle school of aforesaid Guangdong, the state of teachers and student was involved, but preceding paragraphs mainly focus on the science education in such aspects as objective respect of the middle school such as course, instrument and equipment, teaching material, books and social custom. And the form here is described on the subjective respect of teachers, student i.e. science education of middle school of Guangdong. Under the environment at that time, the quality of the teachers of middle school was difficult to be secure, especially the teachers of science education are repeatly condemned even more.On one hand, for the historical reasons, have structure of education and especially factor of the teacher education of higher education in addition. It's often ignored under study for action as the students who receive the educator. In fact, middle school students pay attention to quite, because condition restrict at that time, can study in the middle school little, the new schooling system has changed in 1922, after segmenting junior middle school, there are fewer ones that could go to high school. However, it's not necessary to be the top as few. The middle school student's quality is endured much extent and criticized severely too. On one hand compatriots have always had too high expectations to education, so-called "long to see the son and daughter succeed in life as dragon or phoenix". On the other hand, the achievement of middle school student at this time is not really praise-worthy. Liberal courses as National literature, history, Sun Yat-sen's Thought etc. just can deal with, while they can't deal with Natural science courses as physics, chemistry, living beings, geography. But any way, students' poor quality ultimate liability does not lie in students, even we can say that the unsuccess of modern Chinese science education not lies in science education itself, the success or failure of education does not lies in education itself either. In a word, the science education of middle school of Guangdong during the 1930s was between seeking and puzzling,it's a certainly consequence of the national conditions and the limit of times.
