Since China has implemented the reform and open policy, Chinese non-govemmental higher education has greatly developed, and played a more and more important role in the development of Chinese higher education. However, there are lots of problems that Chinese non-governmental higher education has to face. Such as human resources which is one of the key problems. Whether non-governmental higher schools can build high-quality teacher teams, related to that whether Chinese non-governmental higher schools can keep on developing.The essay tries to do a research on the building of group of teachers from the perspective of the harmonious development of teacher's academic abilities in non-governmental higher schools.Thereare four parts in this essay:In the first part, the essay makes a coordination of the productions on the building of group of teachers in non-governmental higher schools, and this is the background information of the essay. The meaning of the research and the research methods, which is going to be applied in the essay, are also discussed in this part. And this is the foundation of the essay.In the second part, the essay gives the explanations of the related concepts and the related theories of the research. With the analyzing the characteristics of the teachers' occupation, the running of the schools and the requirements of the development of teachers' academic abilities in non-governmental high schools, the essay tries to do a research on the contain of the development of the teachers' academic abilities. And tells that the academic abilities of the teachers in non-governmental high schools should contain: scholarship of teaching, scholarship of discovery, scholarship of application, scholarship of Integration.In the third part, the essay gives an analysis of the current development of the teachers' academic abilities and points out the reasons that why the teachers' academic abilities are unharmonious. And at the same time, the essay gives the analysis and explains the necessities that the teachers in non-governmental higher schools should develop their academic abilities harmoniously.In the fourth part, on the basis of the research above, the essay gives the countermeasures how to build the mechanisms that the abilities of the teachers in non-governmental high schools develop harmoniously from the perspective of material, spirit, system and organization.
