Sports injury not only affects young athlete's health, education, training and gaming, but also negatively affects them psychologically, and prevents their skill improvement in the future. It is significantly important to study the causes of injury, to search for preventive measures, and to decrease the incidence of sport injury. To successfully finish this study, we used literature search, questionnaire, field surveys, expert interviews, and statistical methods. A total of 267 male athletes from 12 national U-17 soccer teams participated in this study. Following data is the study result.1. The total number of injury cases is 869 person-times and the injury rate is 3.64. Mild injuries occur at the following locations: ankles, thighs, waists, wrists and hands, feet and groins. Intermediate injuries occur at ankles, waists, thighs, knees, wrists and feet. Severe injuries occur at ankles, knees, thighs, feet and groins. The injuries in the lower extremities occur at ankles, knees, thighs, feet and groins. The common mild injuries include twist, contusion, and strain. The common intermediate injuries include twist, strain and contusion. Sever injuries present as fractures, twist, laceration, and sprain. In terms of presenting characteristics, mild injuries are mainly acute imposed on old injuries; intermediate injuries are mainly acute imposed on old injuries, acute injuries, and chronic injuries; severe injuries are mainly acute imposed on old injuries and acute injuries. Injuries usually occur during a game at the following periods: 61-80 minutes, 21-40 minutes and 41-60 minutes. Injuries on training classes mainly occur during training games, tactical and technique training.2. The major causes of mild injuries are: opponent's faults, unhealed old injuries, incorrect techniques, incorrect self protection, intentional infliction by opponents, inadequate muscular strength and uneven playing field. The major causes of intermediate injuries are: unhealed old injuries, training and playing with injuries, intentional infliction by opponents, opponent's faults, inadequate muscular strength. The major causes of severe injuries are: unhealed old injuries, intentional infliction by opponents, training and playing with injuries, tiredness, and focal overload.
