Women's higher education is a worldwide topic, which wins much attention. As a powerful education nation, the United States has a prominent status on the women's higher education in the world. This dissertation explores women's higher education in America after World War II, using historical analyze, literature analyze, comparison and depictive statistic through lots of data. Women's higher education went through a pivotal period from downturn to climax. During this period, both women's colleges and coeducation obtained unprecedented development, the number of black women and women officials in colleges increased more than before. This dissertation pertinently analyzes some problems about the black women's higher education and the women's administrative in higher education. This paper studies the problem of background, development, implementation and factors by many measures.This paper has studied women's higher education not only from the social gender method but also from the method of the link of education and society. Therefore, it is of significance to both history of education and understanding of the newly problems coming from the rising percentage of women's enrolment in higher education in China nowadays.This dissertation is divided into five parts, apart from the introduction and the epilogue, the main body consists of three chapters. The first chapter has reviewed the beginning of women receiving higher education and early development. The second chapter has inspected the development of women's higher education during the period. Chapter three has analyzed the factors that impact on the women's higher education. The ending part has given some advice on China's women's higher education. The third chapter has included factors of Women's higher education and evaluation.
