Study On Leadership And Leadership Effectiveness In Sport Organizations In College

In order to explore the leadership style and leadership effectiveness in sport organizations in college, we have investigated 600 P.E teachers from twenty universities in the provinces of Hubei, Wuhan. The leadership questionnaire was completed in the base of MLQ of Bass and revised according to the questionnaire of J.Y. Chen's and B.C. Sun. The leadership effectiveness was completed according to the questionnaire of Q.R. Chen's and Y.Y. Liao. Both questionnaires were adopted by the score of Likert 5-points. To realize the fact of employee in respect of job satisfaction,turnover intention,achievement to arm,innovation ability and leadership's effect to leadership effectiveness, investigation results have been analyzed by SPSS by One-Way ANOVA, correlation and regression.The main results are as follows:1. Both questionnaires are well creditable.2. The college leader preferred to work with transactional leadership, leadership effectiveness is effective according to employee's responses.3. Leadership style and leadership effectiveness are effecte by the sex, the age, education experience and the scale of institute.4. Whether from the dimensionality of leadership or overall, there is always a direct ratio relationship between leadership and job satisfaction,achievement to arm,innovation ability of employee. While an inverse ratio between the six dimensionalities of leadership and turnover intention.5. There is a direct ratio affect between transformational leadership, trade leadership style and job satisfaction,achievement to arm,innovation ability of employee, but an inverse ratio between only transformational leadership and turnover intention.
