With the rapid development of our social and education reform goes on further and further, the problem of teacher stress become more and more apparent.Many female teachers in primary school of rural areas say they are experiencing too much stress, too heaven workload, too much burden in students. But no one of educational academe notices it until now. In order to explore the stressors that the females teachers are enduring at present, the author indagated more than 20 female teachers, 11 primary schools in rural areas. So this thesis focuses on concerning the living conditions of female teacher in primary school of China rural areas, exploring stressors in female teachers and searching for strategies in coping with teacher stress.This thesis includes six chapters. Chapter one mainly review the research abroad about the state of teacher stress.Chapter two gives the object, contents and purposes of the study,and then according to the literature of the overviews the weakness of current study and the value and sense of the study is described. At last it clarifies the mythology, emphasis, difficulty and thinking of study. Chapter three defined the connotation of stress, stressors, coping, teacher stress, then we analyse the process of teacher stress come into being, and what is the effect of individual background may do to female teacher stress on the base of Kyriacou & Sutcliffe's teacher stressors pattern.In chapter four, we describes the present state of female teacher stress in elementary school of rural areas, especially the stressors they endure. The main stressors are students' score, lore, character weakness, burdensome workload, role conflict, bad supervision, poor salary.Chapter five explore the real reason of stressors in female teachers in primary school of rural areas in our country.The main reasons may be the following: first, the occupation itself is close to the teacher stress. Teacher cann't work freely, the high independency in education, moral model, in defect of communication, role conflict. Second, female teacher's physical character, and individual consciousness to life result in stress. Third, the poor environment is the external reason that brings on female teacher stress, for example, the insufficient outlay, bad work condition, unenlightened management. Fourth, the faultiness of system of appointment is the key factor that bring stress on female teachers in primary school of rural areas.In chapter six we make some suggestion in coping with teacher stress in our country from three aspects. Firstly, female teachers in primary school of rural areas themselves should take an positive attitude in coping with stress, find out coping strategies by lived experience of themselves. Secondly, the elementary school managers in rural areas should make allowances for the female teachers, pay more attention to the conditions of female teachers, and more important, they should take measures to coping with teacher stress, establishing a pleasant and agreeable school environment for them. Thirdly, educational administrative should weaken scalar policies as more as they can, which may clean the obstacle for reducing female teacher stress.
