Since the 1970s, a wide range of studies have confirmed that teaching is a high-pressure career at home and abroad. In our country, the pressure that the primary and secondary school teachers have to face from the schools, students and family has still been increasing in modern society, and the pressure that the primary school teachers have to face in poor rural areas is all the more prominent occupational stress. The situation of Primary school teachers'occupational stress in poor rural is not only related to their physical and mental health, as well as the level of performance, but also closely related to the whole cause of rural compulsory education. In this article, the author has investigated primary and secondary school teachers'occupational stress and its sources in XinChengXiang school district of QingShui County—state-level poverty-stricken county, in Gansu Province and accordingly talked about how to ease their pressure.The full article has been divided into four parts:In Part one, the author has talked about why to choose this topic, recalled the teaching profession pressure studies, presented his study purposes,contents,significance,study methods,the inference of the result and defined the important concepts related to the article.In Part two, the author has talked about the main sources of the teachers'occupational stress in XinChengXiang school district. First, the author has drawn teacher's professional pressure status in XinChengXiang school district; Second, the author has investigated the main sources of teachers occupational stress that can be broadly divided into five areas, namely, the pressure from social expectations and public opinion, the pressure from the financial burden, the pressure from left children, the pressure from the work load and the pressure from the "bottom-out" system.In Part three, the author has analyzed the reasons of teacher's occupational stress. First, the author has thought that students, exams and work load factors are the principal "source of teacher's occupational stress" in XinChengXiang school district; second, the author has thought that the treatment is the special factors of teacher's pressure in XinChengXiang school district; third, the author has thought that the "bottom-out" system is another important source of pressure.In Part four, the author has mainly talked the strategies how the teacher can alleviate their vocational pressure from the community, schools and education-related executive departments and teachers.
