New curriculum reform in senior high school has already been put into practice, "enhancing student's Science Literacy" and "manifesting physical curriculum content modernization" are the important parts of Physics Curriculum Standard of Senior High School. While the physical curriculum plays an important role in enhancing the student's Science Literacy, and promoting physics curriculum content modernization is one of questions which the physical curriculum reform needs to solve. Theory of quantum & relativity two important theories of modern physics, has reflected the 20th century physics greatest achievement. Physics Curriculum Standard of Senior High School arranges them in compulsory 2 as well as elective 3-4 and in 3-5 part, which sets more requests for teachers' teaching on this part of content, How teachers present the manner to the content? What difficulties and questions in teaching can appear? What state teaching material usable? Whether this part of content does suit students to study? What state does students study and accept actually?According to these problems, in this dissertation I will do some investigate by many methods, such as individual interview, questionnaire, then carry on the questionnaire survey in the first national curriculum reform experimental area including Hainan Province, Shandong Province as well as Guangdong Province partial senior high school grade 3 teachers and students. Unfold the actual situation which teachers teach and students study in carrying on theory of quantum & relativity content teaching, and carried on the quantitative analysis and the qualitative analysis to the investigation result, obtained the difficulty and the question which exists in the teaching implementation process, and has discussed the reasons. The main conclusions:(1)Teachers teach theory of quantum & relativity content by different ways, but their specialized knowledge is insufficient, correlation concept connotation understanding general, they felt the teaching challenge was bigger, and few teachers approve to put these content in senior high school physics curriculum.(2)As preparation knowledge of students is insufficient, they don't have much initiative nor enthusiasm, so few students are interested in these content.(3)The material charts,tables, exercises after the class as well as each characteristic column can help teachers and students understand the both content, promotes teachers' teaching and students' study, but teachers' and students' still consider the textbooks have too much theory, disadvantageous to students' study.(4)The books and reference materials which about theory of quantum & relativity content suit for students reading are deficient, the experimental equipment and the media courseware which the school provides are also deficient.(5)The student's study to theory of quantum & relativity content is not successful, compared to theory of relativity part, students' receptivity of theory of quantum part is better, the male student is slightly stronger than the female student in the abstract concept study, different area and different edition textbook result in student's acceptance remarkable difference.(6)The most disadvantage reasons that lead to the theory of quantum & relativity content teaching effect not well are the teacher's deficient specialized knowledge and not strict demands in the college entrance examination as well as the few attention paid by teachers.
