With the increasing development of the reform of the new national curriculum, the effectiveness of the new national curriculum has become a common question. This research aims at the testing of the mathematic literacy of the eighth grade students who will finish the compulsory education, and integrating the related information of them in order to evaluate how well these students approaching the end of compulsory education have the mathematic literacy of solving the challenge in their life, and whether they have shown the mathematic literacy to analyze, reason, and communicate her/his views in their leaning.The subjects are from eighth grade of the middle school in Lanzhou. This research use for reference of the Program for International Student Assessment (PISA2003), refer to its design ideas and research methods, partial instrument of the PISA2003 is this research's base. Research tests the validity and reliability of the instrument, and the result showed that the validity and reliability are quiet perfect.The following part is about research result of the mathematic literacy, and how well the students showed their emotion, attitudes and value in the learning process.1. As for the questions and situation designed in the mathematic literacy testing, the students can accurately deal with these questions. They can understand the information which transferred by the relevant mathematic terms, and accurately select the related methods to resolve the mathematic questions faced by them through utilizing the knowledge they have learned and the experienced knowledge in their real life. The difference between the male and female is not significant in statistics.2. The attitude of the students to the school is hopeful. The students remain the low intrinsic motivation and have high instrumental motivation in the process of learning mathematic. In this process the students have a strong sense of self- efficiency. They often could not wake up to cognitive their achievement, and at the same time they often feel anxious in this process. They often do pay more attention to the application of elaboration strategy and control strategy but not the application of memorized strategy in their learning process. The students thought that the cooperative learning is a double-win learning model, and they often have competitive spirit. They frequently hope to receive the support from the teacher and think that the discipline and situation of the classroom is much optimistic.3. The students' intrinsic motivation, instrumental motivation, self-efficiency, anxiety, self-concept, elaborative learning strategy and the attitudes to school, competitive learning, discipline and situation of classroom , the teacher's support and mathematic literary have significant correlation in the statistics in the process of learning mathematic. However the students' memorized strategy, control strategy and the attitude to the cooperative learning and mathematic literary have no significant correlation in the statistics.4. The male and female students' intrinsic motivation, instrumental motivation, self-efficiency, mathematic anxiety, self-concept, elaborative learning strategy and the attitudes to school, competitive learning, discipline and situation of classroom , the teacher's support and mathematic literary have significant correlation in the statistics in the process of learning mathematic. Among the students, the male students' intrinsic motivation, instrumental motivation, self-efficiency, mathematic anxiety, self-concept absolutely higher than the female students. It is common for the male students to apply elaborative learning strategy, memorized strategy and control strategy. The male students are prone to receive the cooperative learning and competitive learning. The attitude of the students to the support of teachers between male and female students is no significant in statistics, so is their recognition of discipline and atmosphere in the mathematical classroom.According to research result, put forward some suggestions for the purpose of reference for the persons who interested in the education.1. Reconstruct the school culture and improve the school spiritual civilization construction. Lead the various works in the school with the core value of school culture in order to create a harmonious school.2. Pay more attention to the problem of gender stereotype in the school education and focus on the influence of the emotion, attitude and value in the process of learning. Consciously develop the potential of female and male students and reduce the gender distance in order to make them develop normally.3. Construct the strict school work achievement evaluation system, reform the achievement evaluation content and standard. Apply the different evaluation index between the elite education and mass education.4. Emphasize education evaluation study, focus on exam study, deeply study the testing technique, formulate the scientific educational evaluation with scientific exam, and establish scientific educational value at last. .5. Think much of the application of computer information technology in the process of education evaluation. Design the special software package on the education evaluation which linked by computer information technology through integrating the human recourses from the educators, testing experts and examiners.
