A Study On Current Status Of Rural Medium Vocational Education

How to construct the new countries of socialism is one of the most conspicuous focuses in the eleventh "Five Years Project" and one of the important decisions made by Central Committee of Party .It is also a key point of constructing the well-off society. To achieve the task, we should develop the rural human resources by combining the basic education, vocational education and adult education together reasonably. In these three aspects, the vocational education is the most important one but is also the weakest one. It's not suitable for the requirement of developing rural human resources .This is why we are urged to study the rural medium vocational education.In this article, I take a rural enterprise technical school of Lintao county in Gansu province as a case, using the nature-find study,questionnaire,interview and on-spot observation to investigate and analysis the reason why it is so hard for it to develop, and to give some suggestion. There are five parts in this paper to give my opinions:In the first part, I analyze some social phenomenon which causes the necessity of studying the rural medium vocational school, and give the concept to rural medium vocational education. I list the current research results, too. At last, I state the aim, significance and methods of the study.In the second part, I mainly talked about the process and reasons that I select the study object. I do a survey about the school condition,teachers,employment of students,recruitment of students,appraisal from the society,major,curriculum,research and short-term training of the school. And from the survey, we can see that it has achieved a lot, there are some problems and difficulties that can't hardly get over too.In the third part, I analyzed the reasons why the rural medium vocational school has so much problems and difficulties in their development from the internal part and external part. From the analysis, we can find out some traditional and social psychological reasons. Some are also caused the local government and the school itself.In the forth part, I give some suggestion to the development of the school according to the analysis in the third part. In the last part, I look back to the study and give the statement of insufficient part in the paper and hope to get some criticism and directions from readers. At last, I believe that the vocational education will have its day as the people care for it more and more.
