On Harmonious Education In Normal Schools

Harmony is the ideological level that many philosophers unceasingly ponder over and pursue throughout the ages, and the happy life condition that innumerable people yearn for with expectation. The construction of a harmonious society cannot succeed without the positive participation of its main body– harmonious people, and the development of harmonious people must depend on harmonious education.We are in the social reforming time and because of the present situation in pedagogical education, in China, harmonious education, whose aim is to train the students to be tolerant, modest and united, is still a weak link. Inheriting the quintessence of Chinese traditional culture, paying attention to the important role that the Confucian's thought"harmonious but not the same" plays, this paper initiates that we should take the development of the students'harmonious spirit as the core and strengthen the students'harmonious values, and by the development of harmonious interpersonal relationship, enable the students to have the spirit of equality, respect, friendly affection, intolerance, modesty, unity and cooperation.In recent years, harmonious education has obtained many actual effects in the inquiry of elementary education theory and practice, but there is not an identical view about the connotation of harmonious education, and there is obvious insufficiency in the exploration o f the theory and practice about vocational education especially pedagogical education. In normal schools, the students'quality is directly related to the quality of the whole nation. Therefore, today the students in normal schools shoulder the historical mission of raising their own quality, bringing their"gene"into full play and cultivating a new generation. So, their quality condition is directly related to the educational quality of our nation, and has relation to the future of our motherland. Whether they can take on the sacred mission our nation and people entrust to them in the future professional career greatly depends on their education as well as their quality acquired in normal schools. But the negative effect, brought by the weakness of market-oriented economy, which reflects to people's ideology and person's relations, causes the lack of collectivism, cooperation spirit. At the same time, the market-oriented economy in the primary stage of socialism is not perfect, every kind of operating mechanism including the competitive system is not sound and overemphasizes competition even malignant competition, as a result, there appears a negative phenomenon of pursuing maximum individual value, but neglecting the interest of other people, collectiveness and the nation. In addition, various reforms inevitably involve to all kinds of benefit adjustment and benefit confliction, thus, it is difficult to establish cooperation based on common interest. And to children, the result is that they become selfish, fragile, biased, not modest, tolerant and understanding. Therefore, it is extremely urgent to develop education to strengthen the students'harmonious values, and to foster the students'characters of equality, respect, friendly affection, tolerance, modesty, unity and cooperation through the establishment of harmonious interpersonal relations. At the same time, with the development of society and the high socialization of production ,cooperation awareness and team spirit receive more and more attention in various trades and professions, some world-known enterprises have clearly taken"cooperation spirit" or " team awareness" as the basic requirement for qualified personnel. This poses a great demand to modern school education, especially normal school education.This article tries starting with studying and discussing the harmonious spirit of normal schools'students, and combines with my working conditions and my working experience. Using the method of linking theoretical analysis with survey analysis, I think about the questions and their origins that exist in the harmonious education development in normal schools, and propose my own countermeasures to the questions, and I hope it can provide reference for normal schools.
