A new high school curriculum reform has been tried to execute in some of the provinces and municipalities, and is expected to begin all over the country in 2008. As an important component of the new curriculum reform, the high school history curriculum has aroused widespread concern after the implementation. In particular, its curriculum structure has completely broken the traditional system and structure of the history, and takes the system which is used in the ancient and now and compiled by Chinese and foreign.The history curriculum structure which forms a system with a topic, avoids the simple repetition of the junior high school history; and it helps students experience the learning process, enhance the ability to analyze issues Comprehensively , and do good to the formation of feeling ,Attitudes and values, these are the notable superiority of the system. Meanwhile, there are many disadvantages in the special system, such as: curriculum structure is too flexible, the basic clues of the history development are weakening; the ask for teachers is too high and in excess of the knowledge and ability level of the teachers, and has a departure from reality for the students.To solve deficiencies of the new system of high school history courses, and improve the high school history curriculum structure, optimize the teaching of history, the paper develops a series of effective solutions. First, we should explore teacher resources rationally, and truly establish the dominant position of the teachers in the teaching process; Secondly, develop fully the students resources in teaching to make them play the main role; Third, set the history curriculum resources free, and ensure that all available resources be used for the history class; Finally, solve adequately the two phases of convergence of the middle-school history courses, so the students can have a smooth transition from junior high school history learning to high school history study.
