Research Of Domain Model In Adaptive Learning System Based On The Semantic Web

The 21st century is a knowledge economy times, that full of opportunities and challenges. Competition between countries' comprehensive national power and social status depends on the development of education and the progress of science and technology, Knowledge occupy an increasingly important position. At the same time our country's Modern Distance Education has entered an unprecedented period of great development. As the great development of network education the limits of the learners' study time and area become smaller now. But the courses' pattern is basically the same to everyone, that is, every learners study the available courses that placed online in the order. Learners can't be effectively carried out the study according to their level of knowledge. So the traditional static designed courses are not a good way to meet learner's individual learning requirements. We need to change the idea on designing of instructional design, optimizing the structure of courses from whole, refining the teaching contents, and learners can master the real needs of knowledge. Constructing the Domain Model of the Adaptive Learning System is an effective option to solve the conflict that learners' individual needs and the static of teaching resources. By the design of Domain Model we clear about the relationship between the knowledge points to realize their structure, and prepare to present the learners appropriate knowledge according to their knowledge level.First of all, we simply introduce related knowledge of the adaptive learning system and the theory of the Semantic Web in this paper, and then we focus on the related knowledge of the Domain Model and Ontology, probing into methods and procedures of Domain Model's Construction. At last we mainly use of ontology editing tools (Protege) to practice to construct a simple Domain Model. The most important is that we provide a new idea to improve constructing knowledge system of the network.In this thesis we mainly focus on the Domain Mode in adaptive learning system, we expect to probe into the method and procedures of Domain Model's Construction under the advanced technology of Semantic Web. We also practice to construct a simple Domain Model, in a certain extent, we realize the function that teaching contents are Adaptive presented in the adaptive learning system.
