Along with Promulgating of "the Summary of the Elementary education Curriculum Reformed" and "Language Curriculum criterion", the new turn of elementary education curriculum reform has begun in our country. Many primary schools language textbooks were published like mushroom after rain. The tenth set of elementary school language textbooks of The Peoples Education Press was put into use in the nation each area of elementary education curriculum reform, it symbolized that curriculum reforms in the elementary education enters into the experimental stage. At the same time, the textbook of Changchun press was put into use in elementary schools in local district and Jilin Province too, this set of textbook had been studied for five years' compilation and experiment, and it become important achievement and scientific research in elementary education in Jilin Province. The entire wrap teaching material has absorbed the new achievements in domestic and foreign language education, and founded the new time of language teaching material in the elementary schools.Although both the Peoples Education Press and the Changchun Press elementary school language textbooks (not consistent with former translation) are the experimental textbooks, both diligently follow the curriculum criterion, but because of the different experiences of editors and their various understanding to the curriculum criterion ,two sets of textbooks have big differences in the following things: choosing articles, the style of arrangement, to present text stratification plane and so on. Therefore, the author designated the Peoples Education Press and the Changchun Press textbooks (1~4 volumes) as the object of comparison research, compared the following five aspects: compiles, the Pinyin and literate writes, compilation style, the way of presents and the design of practice. In these aspects, the two textbooks have their own characteristic, but simultaneously also have some deficiency.For example, the Peoples Education Press textbook: in the aspect of content and the arrangement revolves key or the special organization teaching material content, conformity language learning activity; The text compiles manifests the time characteristic and the modern ideas, draws close to the children's life; The way of present is rich in fresh idea and the affinity, the leading study characteristic is prominent; The teaching materials' design manifests openness and so on. The biggest characteristic in Changchun version textbook lies in the originate of choosing article, and diversification of the style, relates extremely close with children's experience world and the imagination world; Pay attention to communicate heard , read-write, picture, sings, of many kinds of studies feeling way, communicate different discipline: language , music, arts, mathematics, nature and so on, and communicate study life in school and extra curricular.Through the comparison research, we had also discovered and analyzed some general character and the individuality place in the two edition textbooks. Simultaneously, the two edition textbooks also have some problems and the insufficiency, such as all has some deviation to the curriculum criterion, in view of these insufficiencies, separately put forward some constructive improvement proposals to two edition textbooks.
