Morality education is a one intending to entail a goodmorality of the students. It is generally categorized into two kinds:broad-sense morality education and narrow-sense morality education.The one discussed here in this thesis is the narrow-sense moralityeducation, which centers around ethics morality education and theeducation of life values. The source of morality comes from emotion.Only when there is the appeal of emotion can it be possible to enhancethe birth of morality will and morality practice. Therefore, it isparticularly important to seize the inner relatedness between emotionappeal and morality education, to place emphasize the extension ofemotion education in the education of morality in attaining approachesto the problems and confusions in the course of morality education inuniversities. This thesis is divided into three parts:The first part mainly discusses the mental mechanism of emotionand general contents of emotion education, intending to put forwardthe idea that the waking function of emotion education lies in theactivities of it, in which course, the instructors foster emotionalenlightenment and stimulation on the learners. Methods and ways ofguiding, inputting and maintaining higher social emotions are includedhere.The second part mainly describes the inner relatedness between thewaking function of emotion education and morality education inuniversities. The author proves that it is the natural outcome for thecombination of the waking function and morality education inuniversities, from the perspectives that the waking function is the innerdrive of morality education, and at the same time personalityperfecting is the outmost goal of emotion education. The third part reflects on the current situation and problemsexisting in morality education in universities of our country, based onthe education experiences of the author and educational theories. Theauthor boldly puts forward the idea that waking function should be putinto practice in morality education in universities.The creativeness of this thesis lies in the fact that it centers aroundthe connotation of the waking function in emotion education, itscharacteristics and its importance in university morality education.This is supposed to enhance it comprehensive meaning in botheducational administration and morality education practice.Anyhow, its shortcomings can never be overlooked: This idea isonly a bold hypothesis by the author which still lakes solid proof frompractice. This will be fortified in the research work afterwards.
