In 2000,the New Chinese Curriculum Criterion for Senior School put forward a viewpoint that we school enhance the excellent traditional cultrure. It is full reflected in the compilation of new Chinese textbooks. As a Chinese teacher, I want to begin this article with the following questions. That is how to enhance Chinese traditional culture, how to control the textbook and to excavate excellent traditional culture. The inquiry is based on the whole ecology.The article is divided in three chapters. In Chapter I, the writer tries to expand the meanings of Chinese traditional culture and education, according to the new theory of the new Chinese Curriculum Criterion. The Chapter begins with the connotation and significance to learn traditional culture. The writer also analyses the current situation of the traditional culture and the crisis it faces. In addition, It (the Chapter) also discusses the impotant significance of learning Chinese traditional culture. It also finishes the theoretical construction of tradicional culture.In Chapter II, the writer tries to look for the theorecical basis and breach in Chinese, explains and systemizes the New Curriculum Criterion and textbooks. The favorable conditions are found to educate traditional culture in ancient poetry education in Senior Chinese. The writer also analyses the history and current situation to teach ancient poetry as well as to understand how to enhance traditional culture in ancient poetry teaching in Senior middle School.In Chapter III, the writer mainly tries to carry out the experiment and inquiry, First it is proved to use the method of infiltration to teach. Then, the writer thinks that the essence of traditional culture should be enhanced, such as excellent literacy art good traditional virtue, excellent personal quality, excellent national spirit and special mode of thinking and intelligence etc. Next, it disucsses the concrete ways to infiltrate traditional culture in the teaching of ancient poetry. It indudes infileration in class, such as creation the culture enwironment, reading citation of ancient poetry etc. It also indudes the extension of traditional culture, such as to consult data to read famous artides and works to have the aid of movies and mult-imedia and to carry out the learning of special topics etc. It also discusses two cases. One is"Energetic deeds, Constantly strive to become stronger---the basical spirit inquiry of Chinese traditional culture". The other is: From the traditional culture---filial duty to inquire the moral of filial, relatives and loyalty.
