The Study Of Middle School Students' Self-discipline Strategies

Self-discipline is one of the heated topics in the field of educational theory and practice, which has aroused general interest. Based on the achievements of the studies in self-discipline and the problems of present situation, this thesis analyzes and studies the current situation of the middle school students and puts forward some effective strategies.The present problems lie in the ignorance of middle school students'self-discipline, which, in turn, results in the fact that the attention paid to the study concerning middle school students'self-discipline is far from enough. The author of this thesis has conducted a series of surveys and finds that at present middle school students still do not have awareness of self-discipline. Besides, schools, parents and the society should have played a more important role. There are several reasons for the problems. One reason is that there is not a good environment in schools, in families as well as in society for middle school students to develop their self-discipline. Another reason is that middle school students do not have many chances of involvements in both school life and social practice. The factor that middle school students cannot receive appropriate guide from the educators also attributes to the problem.Having studied these reasons carefully, we think we should create a better environment in schools, in families as well as in society for students to develop their self-discipline. And curriculum reform is also quite necessary. As for schools, we should consider taking such measures as designing self-study plans for students and building up a new system for middle students to develop their self-discipline. Apart from all that has been mentioned above, high-qualified teachers and excellent cultural atmosphere in schools are of equal importance.The study of middle school students'self-discipline is a complicated task, which still needs further and more systematic research.
