Women And Feminism In The Era Of Internet

The liberation of women with environment, energy, resource, population, and safety, becomes an important issue in the 21st century. The theory of feminism is in continuous evolution, and its internal conflicts and the struggles are the power for the existence and development of feminism. With the fast-developing of science and technology, human society is coming into the era of internet. The emergence of internet not only puts greatly effect on the life of human society, but also brings a new opportunity and challenge to the liberation of women and the development of feminism. Therefore, it turns to be a key period of time for the development of feminism, and it is of great value to discuss and study the issue of feminism.This dissertation takes the internet era as its beginning point, and analyzes the effect which the internet puts on the women and feminism. It is composed of four parts.The first chapter mainly analyzes the definition, the origination and the background of feminism. The second chapter is on the impact of the internet age on the life of human society, especially on the women. The third chapter, from the view of feminism, analyzes the new form of feminism that is brought by the appearance of internet technology. The conclusion mainly argues that internet erases not only the traditional demarcation of the public and private realm, but also the binary demarcation of sexes, which has a positive effect on the liberation of women and the development of feminism.
