In recent years,the combat sports has developed rapidly in China.However,due to the influence of traditional patriarchal culture and gender concepts,Chinese women have encountered some inequalities when they training and taking part in the competitions.This is contrary to China's basic national policy of“equality between men and women”.This article uses questionnaire survey methods,interview methods,literature review methods,and observation methods to examine the gender issues in China's combat sports from a feminist perspective.And reveals the body?gender and society in combat sports through systematic feminist knowledge.Reconstructing the claim of gender equality in a critique by theory and practice.Promoting the theory and methods of female study in sports.It includes:(1)Restoring women's role?status and contribution in the course of history from the participation of women in Wushu in ancient China.(2)Based on feminist perspectives and positions,and combine relevant disciplines?research fields?theoretical schools and methodologies,explore the gender inequality in combat sports.(3)Through representative and concrete examples and empirical studies,determine the relationship between gender construction and sports?gender systems?social culture,and finding explanations for gender inequality and gender hierarchy in combat sports.And draw the following conclusions:1.In ancient China,women had a tradition of training Wushu and they also did a lot of work for Wushu.However,due to the shackles of the feudal ethics of the Song and Ming Confucianism,women study Wushu were considered to be indecent.In modern times,Liang Qichao and Kang Youwei put forward“abandoning foot-binding”and“promoting women went to school”,they were encouraging women to participate in sports.Women were returned to the sports arena,and won a lot of games.However,due to the influence of feudal thoughts for thousands of years,women are still subject to various established norms of behavior and thinking.With the rise of the western feminist movement,it has gradually developed into a complete theoretical system.Gender theory has become the main theoretical basis for deconstructing Chinese women's sports culture.2.National policies?values of themselves and organizational structure are the direct reasons to promote Chinese women's participation in combat training;health?leisure and consumption are the core values of theirparticipation in combat training;in-depth urbanization?enhanced social strength and the emergence of sports clubs were provides a realistic possibility for Chinese women to participate in combat training.3.Chinese women's participation in combat training has obvious gender characteristics.Family structure?economic structure?sports structure and the culture they produce are all factors that restrict women's participation in training.4.In the current professional fighting competitions,there is a problem that female athletes have a lower chance of participating than male athletes.The media reporting perspective should be diversified to play a positive guiding role.5.Feminism study promotes women participating in combat training.At the same time,combat training also has a positive impact on women in China.
