Investigation Of The Status Of University Basketball Activity In Beijing

With the comprehensive usage of various methods, such as documental materials investigation, mathematical statistics, logic reasoning and so on, we did really deep investigation and analysis on the status, problems and articles of the university basketball class, basketball team and after-class basketball activity in Beijing. Further, with the usage of the related theoretical knowledge, considering the reality of quality education and teaching reformation, we also provide the strategy and suggestion for the further reformation and development of university basketball class, basketball team, after-class basketball activity. The study is to provide the practical and theoretical basement for the development of Physical Education and Management to make the rule and scientific design and to provide the reference for the development of university basketball activity.After investigation and analysis, the conclusions are as followings:1 Basketball class: During these years, based on the right direction, clear teaching aim, and leaders'emphasis on P.E, our basketball class acquires high quality and result, and accumulates some teaching experience, which in turn keeps the class moving forward. However, there are still many problems. Firstly, as we keep using the most traditional teaching methods, this greatly delays the general progress on the development of high education. Secondly, as the rare usage of up-dated teaching equipment, such as multi-media, some good experience can not be expanded well. Thirdly, the class is not enough for the requirement of students'after-class basketball activity. Finally, too many students, less lectures and the weak basic knowledge on basketball are the major causes that after the teaching quality and effect, although most students have strong interest, learning motivation, good attitude and the equipments are basically enough.2 Basketball team: Actually, the general condition of the university basketball teams in Beijing is good. The physical condition and playing technology of the athletes have been greatly improved. The general levels of the coaches have also been advanced. So far many teams hired professional coaches, and have acquired very good results. The equipments are generally qualified for practice and contest. But many teams have not enough the fee, the lower scientific training, less competition opportunity, especially the high quality competition.3 After-class basketball activity: Generally, the university after-class basketball activity in Beijing is extremely popular, and this also enriches the culture of university's sports at the same time. Recently, more and more universities and students turn their eyes on basketball. But, there are still some weakness points and problems, such as, deficient investment on the after-class basketball activity, the deficient activity places, the lack of basic basketball organization. And these issues will somehow affect the development of university basketball activity.
