The Dilemma Faced By Push-hand Tactics And Corresponding Counter Strategies

Martial arts are increasingly popular throughout the world as a Chinese traditional culture. Wushu actions and boxing is spreading widely home and abroad, while taiji push-hand tactics cannot be popularized, and the number of people practicing it cannot be less. Taiji, a well-received sports items, is honored as"philosophical Quan", a representative of national culture. And push-hand tactics is the practice and elation of Taiji Quan. Push-hand tactics is on the verge of extinct. As a person working on Martial Arts, any one of us is responsible for sheltering it from extinction. In order to analyze and find a feasible solution, this project aims to analyze the dilemma facing by it, to conduct a cognitive analysis to its affecting factors and to put forward practical strategies by documentary material, experts interview discussion, questionnaire survey, statistics analysis, logical deduction and tape-recording analysis. The conclusions are as follows:1. The present teaching staff of contesting push-hand tactics is a bit young with short period teaching experiences. The coaches with low certificate and fewer opportunities to receive further education cannot meet the demand of training, which have a bad influence to push-hand tactics.2. The present sportsmen of push-hand tactics haven't sufficient training time.3. The present referees of push-hand tactics needs to improve their judging ability.4. The present actions of push-hand tactics are singular. The rules of it are imperfect, pursuing the balance of strength and not paying attention to style.5. The factors affecting push-hand tactics are contesting rules, protecting elements, talent elements and training elements.6. The present training field, money and apparatus cannot meet the demands, unable to ensure sportsman regular and systematic training.7. The urgent need is to perfect contesting rules, to enlarge propaganda, to invest, ore money, to cultivate and elect more coaches, to establish referees'training system, and to build up training monitoring system.
