| The development of the local sports industry has a crucial importance in boosting the growth of the regional economy, optimizing the industrial structures, improving the people's living standards, and modernizing the sports undertakings. This paper makes a primary research of the its existing problems on the basis of the analysis of the status quo and the consideration of Yancheng Eleventh Five-Year Plan and Yancheng Sports Eleventh Five-Year Plan, presenting an outline as follows in answer to the municipal government's prospect of economical revitalization and well-off society: guided by the outlook of scientific development and the orientation of socialist market economy, to formulate the sports industry overall and concrete goals; to strengthen the macro control of its industry development; to speed up its industry infrastructure; to develop its industrial capital market; to perfect its rules and regulations; to cultivate its special talents; and to enhance its technical innovation. In doing so, the author wants to provide reference for Yancheng government's to enhance local economy and construct well-of society.
