Sentiment refers to a social mental mechanism related with human needs, which is a kind of attitudinal experience that is produced by whether the object conforms to its needs. Sentiment is one noticeable aspect in psychological process of human and education have to be involved in order to make sentiment developing in a health way from cultivating-human aspect. This article analyzes urgency of developing sentiment education in high school thought and political class from internal demand and disadvantage of high school thought and political teaching, needs for physical and mental development of high school students and demands for curriculum reform of high school thought and political class. Then theoretical basis of developing sentiment education is analyzed. Third part of the paper emphasizes on the demand and method of developing sentiment education in high school though and political class. Developing sentiment education in high school thought and political class requires the main body character, the equal communicating teaching, inspiring needs and request of activities. On basis of these needs, sentiment education has to be positively developed through nurturing sentiment by reason, by environment, by sentiment, by interest.
