The research paper, mainly bases on relation strengthen hypothesis and social resources theory of social networks theory, through the method of sample survey on graduates of four universities in HuBei province, analyses on the social supporting network in graduates' job-hunting. The research focuses on probing into the basic network characteristics of social supporting network and influential aspects on network characteristics, then analyzes the support condition of network, the relation between social supporting network and Job-hunting, finally discuss how to reinforce the function of social supporting network in job-hunting.The thesis includes six chapters:Chapter 1: Introduction. This part discusses the background, purpose, significance, research idea, theory basis, hypothesis, methodology, innovation and research fruits of other scholars on social supporting network in job-hunting.Chapter 2: This part describes and analyses the general character of the social supporting network in job-hunting, such as the scale of the social supporting network, relation constitution, compactness degree, convergence, diversity and net top. The result shows characteristics that graduates' social supporting network is small scale, low net top, high compactness degree, and the principal friendship relation. In all, graduates' social supporting network resource is very scarce.Chapter 3: This part explores the influence that various aspects have on network characteristics. It finds out, sex, region, social economic status of the family and personal disposition have important effect on network characteristics.Chapter 4: This part reveals the different supports are supplied by the different supporting source and analyses the support status of relation members. It discovers emotional supports and informational supports are the most important in graduates' job-hunting. Formal social organization provides informational supports chiefly, and informal relation provides financial, emotional and favor supports mainly. The parents are the major financial supplier, the relative are the most important favor supporters, companion and friends are principally emotional and informal assistant.Chapter 5: this section explores the effect that social supporting network have on the job-hunting specifically. Not only job-hunting have connection with support contend, but also the scale of the social supporting network, net top, compactness degree, convergence and diversity etc have effect on the job-hunting. In a word, in graduates' job-hunting process, people who received more social supports coming from their networks, have better job and are satisfied with the reality of job-hunting.Chapter 6: on basis of the summary of the thesis's conclusion, the thesis explore the prominent classification difference among network groups, discuss the support condition of strong or weak relation, further proceed the method how to strength the function of social supporting works in hunting job.
