A Study Of Qualities And Their Structure Of Excellent Director Of Class In Primary School

This research tries to figure out the qualities and their structure of the excellent director of a class in the primary school.Literature searching, interview method and questionnaire survey are used and then 30 important terms of qualities are identified. 174 directors of class in the primary school have assessed the importance of these qualities and among them 40 have also classified these qualities. By means of principal component analysis and multidimensional scaling analysis, the author has explored the structure of these qualities.The results show that qualities of the excellent director of a class in the primary school are divided into 5 parts: interpersonal tendency, personality charm, ability of team management, cognitive ability, knowledge and experience. The tendency of interpersonal communication include 7 items of qualities, such as respecting others, the character of toleration, transposition thinking, patience, spirit of cooperation, fairness and justness, honest and upright; the aspects of personality charm involve 7 items of qualities, for example, aggressiveness, self-confidence, emotional stability, wide interest, sense of responsibility, loyalty to their work and devotion to teaching, and consciousness of social morality; the aspects of group managing ability involve 8 items of qualities, for instance, the ability of organizing, encourage, coordinate, selection and training, teaching according to students aptitude, planning, persuasion and emotional awareness; the aspects of cognitive ability involve 5 items of qualities, such as understanding ability, information search capability, flexibility, reflective ability and creativity; the educational theory, educational belief and experiential knowledge make up of the aspects of knowledge and experience which include 3 items.
