In recent years,in order to improve the physical health level of teenagers,the Chinese government has carried out the reforms of the physical education program with different characteristics to a certain extent.In addition,the scores of physical education in the high-school entrance examination have also been gradually improved.With the ever-increasing proportion of physical education score in the high-school entrance examination as well as the dual pressure of policies and examinations,there comes an “exam-oriented” tendency on physical education similar to the purpose of verbal and mathematical surgery."Involution" has swept PE teaching and students’ physical exercise,which deviates from the original intention of PE education and has exerted a negative effect on fostering students’ sports interests and skills.After the implementation of the "double reduction" policy,it advocates to reduce the homework burden and after-school training burden of students in compulsory education,enriching after-school activities,carrying out sports,art and other activities,all of which are at odds with heavy academic pressure and the burden of admission to high school of junior middle school students’.Under these circumstances,it’s urgently needed to explore a practical and feasible solution to prevent the trend of “exam-oriented” physical education and the involution on PE examination among students and their parents.In the meantime,this flexible solution is expected to meet the needs of students’ all-round development,fully mobilize the students’ enthusiasm to participate in physical exercises,increase their PE scores effectively and efficiently,thereby to reduce pressure for students,to release the burden and empower students in physical education.The purpose of this study is to study the deep-rooted reasons hindering the improvement of students’ physical education performance in the high-school entrance examination and explore an effective training method to satisfy the demands of the junior school students’ on physical fitness and health training in the new era,thus apparently improving students’ interest and initiative to participate in sports,forming a highly efficient and sustainable developing training conception,correcting the thinking pattern of parents’ and students’ on sports and sports concept.Meanwhile,it is expected to explore a feasible path for students to relieve pressure,cope with the dilemma of students’ physical and mental improvement,and promote the healthy development of students.This paper employs the means of literature review,questionnaire investigation and principal component analysis to figure out the major factors that hinder the improvement of students’ final results on high-school entrance examination of physical education.What’s more,through the experimental method,the experimental effect of the teacher training of sports items in the high school entrance examination of functional training was studied,and the practice was verified in extracurricular sports activities.After specific experiments on teaching,relevant experimental data,as well as the evaluation of students’ subjective feelings and experts’ evaluation,were obtained.Additionally,the experimental data were analyzed and sorted out so as to draw experimental results and conclusions.The principal component analysis of factors affecting students’ physical education performance in the high-school entrance examination has attained the effect of multi-dimensional reduction.Four principal components are determined,precisely,the policy-oriented function of the high school entrance examination,the competitive ability,the methods and means of physical training,and the ability to adapt to the situation.After 12 weeks of functional physical training and 36 teaching experiments,30 students in the experimental group showed significant differences in lung capacity,standing long jump,50-meter-running,sitting forward bends,solid ball,sit-up and 1000m/800 m running before and after the experiment.Functional training can comprehensively develop physical strength and help students improve their performance rapidly with high efficiency and time-saving.This functional training can motivate students’ subjective learning initiative,increase the interest and fun of sports activity,while reducing sports injuries,improving students’ selfconfidence,releasing pressure for students,reducing the burden,and empowering students in sports.It is suggested to exert the correct guiding role of national policy and optimize the physical examination project.Give full play to the education ability of physical education,prevent physical education formalization and exam-oriented,and promote the comprehensive quality of students.Enrich physical training items and methods,build a comprehensive physical training platform,construct and improve the information-based training system,use comprehensive training methods according to the actual situation of the training objects,select training items and content targeted,and pay attention to keep the rationality of physical training details.Attaching importance to the advantages and importance of functional training and integrating functional training into physical education teaching can achieve better specialized training effects of sports items,effectively consolidate technical movements and improve athletic performance,stimulate and cultivate students’ subjective initiative,improve students’ competitive ability,develop their physical fitness in an all-round way,and help students quickly improve their performance in an efficient and time-saving manner.Functional physical training is a feasible path that conforms to the law of students’ actual development and healthy growth.It is feasible and necessary to implement it.
