The decision on deepening the education reform and promoting quality education of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council points out that"good health is the basic premise for the young people to serve the motherland and the embodiment of the Chinese nation's vitality. School PE should set healthy first thinking and earnestly strengthen sports work.".While the modern PE stresses health and happiness. It has converted from physical development of the education into a movement-based education. It also Stresses the need interest and purpose for students to sports, making discipline and community as the center, representing personalized education.Senior middle school education is an integral part of education, it plays a connecting role and it is a major turning point in life. We must adapt to the development trend of modern education, and train students who can adapt to the 21st century. In the recent years, with the continuous development of fitness exercise, people are conscious of fitness exercise. Because of the improvement of knowledge the scientific literacy of fitness, needs of fitness exercise are of diversity and individuality, and thus aerobics movement appear. Aerobics movement is a movement which is popular in the young students. From the point of view of impacting on human health, it plays a good role, especially for weight control, weight loss and improving body shape, improving coordination and sense of rhythm with good results. At the same tine it can reduce the possibility of a sports injury. Many senior middle schools makes the aerobics classes as an important part of physical education, but let aerobics as a means of education, and play the role of educating people, which depends on aerobics teaching results. This thesis investigates the status of aerobics teaching in Baicheng city to find out:1. The relevant authority is not serious enough. The understanding of quality education is not profound, overlooks the importance of teaching aerobics.2. The teachers in senior middle school in Baicheng city rank low in the educational structure. Teachers are too young while professional teachers in Aerobics are relatively small and they have no enough frontier knowledge.3. The Aerobics is single and the content is out of date. The common teaching time in the senior middle school is unreasonable. Performance appraisal pays more attention to the technical evaluation, neglecting the importance of evaluation skills.4. Teaching methods in senior middle school in Baicheng city are backward .the multimedia is less, only blackboard and chalk are used. Teaching is so dull that restricts the understanding of young students to aerobics movement.5. As a second classroom teaching of extra-curricular activities, Aerobics' class is not well, which brings in a negative impact on the quality of teaching.6. Facilities in senior middle school in Baicheng city are not perfect enough, audio equipment is relatively small. The schools lacks of qualified teachers. Inadequate funds to school aerobics equipment can be added in time, which seriously restricts the development of teaching aerobics.
