With the development of the information technology and economic globalization, English as the most important information carrier in participating in international exchanges and competition in various fields plays an increasingly prominent role. Time--wasting, low-efficiency factors in high school English teaching hamper students at all levels to improve the standard of English. Although teaching materials are continually updated and the new English curriculum has been implemented, with the same materials, the same standards, the same teaching model to develop the students of different levels, we obviously can't achieve good results. In recent years because of the reform of school enrollment in the system of the high school students consist of complex levels, including formally--admitted, school-selecting and money-paying students, thus artificially increasing the difficulty of teaching. Although they have learned English for a few years, mastered a certain vocabulary and understood some basic syntactic structures, students in many aspects objectively differ greatly in levels, such as the motivation and interest to learn English, the comprehensive and systematic basic skills, the ability to use language, the overall perception of the language and so forth because of the students'intellectual or non-intellectual factors. Now the new high school English textbook knowledge is larger in capacity, more difficult in contents and has characteristics of times. If we can't face all the students or use targeted teaching methods is bound to produce a lot of resistance both in teaching and learning. For the purpose of ascertaining the result of this pedagogy, the author makes an experimental study in Grade One in Number 3 Middle School in Anshan. The students are classified into three levels--A, B, C according to their English standards. After one year's experiment, its result shows that the pedagogy can improve students'English studying conditions, heighten their interest in English and develop their English abilities. The paper consists of five parts:Part One: Putting forward the senior teaching experiment of different levels The writer clarifies the purpose, significance and necessity of the experiment.Part Two: The review of literature This part introduces the basic theories and the present study condition at home and abroad.Part Three: The measures and strategies of the studyPart Four: The performance of the study The students are divided into the levels A, B, C according to their grades.
