Study And Training Of Junior Middle School Student's English Learning Strategies

Learning Strategies are a psychological name after Brunner put forwards"cognitive Strategy". This describes the method which students learn and develop. A part of this text is about English study. The approach has already been verified by the result of foreign research. But research done both here and abroad does not involve students of middle schools in China. So, a study is conducted taking the middle school student as the research subject, probing into the characteristic of English teaching. On one hand, this study can improve the English teaching level of middle schools. On the other hand, the study can measure the students'English learning ability.From the daily teaching, we can find that the student's approach can be spontaneous. It is not systematic and is incomplete. They need help from the teachers and parents. Individual differences, the environment and the test result all have a significant effect on the results. And a major effect on the result is related to the student's study habits.To the students, it is important to learn hoe to study; while if you want to learn how to study, you should have your own learning strategies. To the teachers, it is an important task to improve the students'level of employing learning strategies and make them know how to study themselves. Above all, the author holds that in order to improve the level of learning strategies in English employed by junior middle school students, we should do the joining job well between junior middle school and primary schools. And then, we should make use of the knowledge of educational psychology and develop the students'ability of using learning strategies.
