The Practical Research In University Students' Moral Socialization

Lawrence Kohlberg's theory of moral cognitive development has profound influences on Western moral education. This paper attempts to analyze problems in Chinese university students' moral socialization with this theory and uses its reasonable parts to serve for the present moral practice in China.This paper first introduces theory connotation in philosophy, psychology and moral education practice of Kohlberg's Moral Cognitive Development Theory, then investigates and analyzes the present situation in Chinese university students' morals socialization, points out the problems in it and uses Kohlberg's theory to analyze these problems. This paper thinks that instillation tendency in moral teaching, neglecting the student individual need in moral education goal, the moral education content being divorced from reality and moral education being divorced from practice is the reasons of problems in Chinese university students' morals socialization.Based on these problems, the paper last advances to apply Kohlberg's theory of moral cognitive development to Chinese moral practice.
